What a milestone! With the graduation of cohort 5, UREPP has achieved to train more than 2.000 youth in its courses. Through the fruitful and intense collaboration of Bildungswerk der Bayerischen WIrtschaft (bbw) gGmbH and the partners on ground in Uganda – Nakawa VTC Kampala, Congolese Refugee Community Uganda and St. Simon Peter’s VTC Hoima – the Uganda Refugee Employment Promotion Project (UREPP) has been able to provide new life perspectives to vulnerable youth of Uganda and the refugees the country is hosting. By working closely with the refugee communities in Kampala and the refugee settlements upcountry, as well as the host communities, UREPP is deeply rooted within its target demographics.
We are very proud to say that 65% of the youth that graduated from UREPP are able to generate income from what they have been trained in during the short courses in the project, some in employment, others by starting their own businesses.
We are excited to follow the paths of our graduates and wish all of them all the best for their personal and professional futures.
