Raising awareness about environmental issues during vocational training is key to ensure that when our trainees move into the world of work, they embrace environmentally friendly practices and care about their surroundings.
During their time in UREPP, some trainees had started an environmental club that strives to raise awareness in their fellow trainees, but also the communities around, through joint activities and implementation of ideas and practices.
Together with the Hoima town council, UREPP initiated regular clean up days, which had taken place around the Bunyoro palace and now at Hoima central market, as you can see in the video.
