At UREPP, we want to empower youth, especially women and refugees, to engage in vocational training and built their future on it.

This is UREPP

What is UREPP all about?

UREPP is a project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development. It is implemented by Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) gGmbH together with two vocational schools in Uganda.

At Nakawa VTC in Kampala, St. Jude VTC in Masaka and St. Simon Peter’s VTC in Hoima, UREPP offers short courses in different vocational trades (see list below). After three months of training, UREPP students can graduate with a certificate from DIT, the national Directorate of Industrial Training in Uganda. After graduation, the project teams assist students in finding internships or job opportunities. UREPP also supports young entrepreneurs. If a student wants to start his or her own business, guidance and support during the start-up period is offered.
